I used this station in March 1991. After a day on the ski slopes at Sugadaira, I went with friends to enjoy an onsen at Bessho. After the aches were soothed in the warm water I rode the Ueda Dentetsu from Bessho Onsen to Ueda, where I changed to an “‘Asama” limited express for the journey back to Ueno.
